Synchronizes, Displays and Records GNSS Position Data and Sounding Values from Echo Sounders


GPMate-ECHO is a depth-sounding system which can be used for coastlines, shipping lanes, rivers and dams. Sounding data can be gathered simply by watching the survey line on the computer screen and operating the ship. GNSS position data and sounding values are automatically synchronized, and the depth of the ship’s position can be displayed and recorded in real time.
Apart from depth-sounding, it can also be used for target point guidance for flag setting, lighted buoys, and artificial reefs.

GNSS Receiver, Automatic Set Up

Can be used with RTK-GNSS, network type RTK-GNSS and DGNSS receivers, and is also compatible with NMEA data specifications (GGA) so can be used with receivers produced by a variety of manufacturers. In addition it is compatible with automatic set-up. Simple, software-automatic set-up without using other devices such as terminals, eliminating set-up errors.

Compatible with Jenoba’s VRS NTrip

If Jenoba’s NTrip (network type RTK-GNSS) is used, simply connecting a communication terminal such as a USB device to the computer automatically enables NTrip communication without using a special terminal.
*Specified as compatible with Topcon’s GNSS receivers
*Separate contract with Jenoba is required for communications terminals

Digital output sounders made by Japanese manufacturers can be used.

For sounders which are compatible with the cut command, cut lines for survey lines can be automatically printed on the printout paper at freely set pitches and added distances.


Automatic Tide Level Correction

If using RTK-GNSS (including network type RTK-GNSS), real time tidal level correction can be carried out. Also ground level can be output without post-processing of output results.


Automatic Cut, Survey Line Names, Mark Number Printing


Automatic cut

When measuring survey lines, cut lines are automatically printed on the printout paper at set distances. Manual cuts of the printout paper are not necessary.

Survey line names, mark number printing

When measuring survey lines, the survey line names and cut line mark numbers are printed on the printout paper. There is no need to write the survey line names by hand.

Sound Speed Correction and Tidal Level Correction

Data can be rewritten using sound speed correction values specified for each depth after recording. Also, data can be rewritten using hourly tidal levels, or tidal levels specified after measuring.

Two-way Comparison

If two-way measurement is performed during continuous survey line measurement, comparison of the two-way data can be viewed on screen as soon as measurements are taken.

DXF, SFC File Import and Display

DXF and SFC files can be imported and viewed on screen.

SIMA Cross Product Formatted Averaging File Output

If two-way measurement is performed during continuous survey line measurement, height data for the same added distances in the SIMA format files for the two directions is averaged, and a single SIMA cross product format file is output. In addition, the results of the averaged data (file 1 height, file 2 height, average height) can be output in CSV format.
